I ‘ve spent over 30 years as an entrepreneur and business leader focusing on small business management and development in start-up, growth, and turnaround environments. I love working with people and companies to achieve their goals
During my career I built and successfully sold a $7 million staffing company to a division of H&R Block. I started four other companies and provided leadership in a number of turn-around situations with various staffing companies in specialties such as Executive Search, Technology, Medical, Environmental, Construction and Building, as well as Generalist staffing. These companies include ERA, Inc., Claria Corporation, and Fusion, LLC.
I currently own a local branch of The Entrepreneur’s Source, an international franchise network of business coaches who work with individuals interested in examining self-employment and business ownership. The Entrepreneur’s Source services center on coaching, education, and consulting on self-employment, franchise, and general business ownership. I joined The Entrepreneur’s Source because I had a desire to reinvest my knowledge and experience in helping people achieve their own goals and dreams.
I have served on several advisory boards for small business in the San Francisco Bay area. I have also done a number of speaking engagements in both the Bay area and now locally in Port Angeles. Some of the venues are CPC, CSIX, SBDC, and Deborah’s Palm. I’ve served on the Board of Directors for The Association for Corporate Growth and Big Brothers/Big Sisters in San Francisco. I’ve volunteered as a mentor for the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, and done nine 60mile walks in support of the Susan G Komen breast cancer foundation.
On a personal note, I used to compete in 3-Day equestrian competitions, played volleyball and tennis. I love art and do tile mosaics, paint with acrylics and oils (also the occasional housepaint!)
